A site called "Wordle" let's you create "word clouds," stunning little graphic representations from a text sample you provide. It's an interesting visual exercise for writers and illustrators alike! The words appear larger the more frequently they were used in the text. Here's the one I created from my birds book manuscript. Somewhat tree-like, don't you think? Appropriately so! Wordle is free, too.

I've always loved letter form so this was way cool to do. Can't wait to see yours!

Hey- are you going to the SCBWI conference in October? It's a hectic weekend for me, so I'm not sure yet, but there is a good editor that will be there.

Great Wordle! I use it often and found out about it through Spoonflower after printing some of my illustrations on fabric... your illustrations would be really fun on fabric, made into bags, pillows, etc.

Thanks Moose! I haven't experiemented with fabric yet, but have made wrapping paper. The possibilities are endless with art, aren't they?! We will never be bored!
