This is a collage experiment using natural materials. Downy woodpeckers often crawl up and down our river birch, seeking out their insect dinners. I scanned some of the peeled bark and layered my illustration on top. Hmmm. The effect is kind of cartoon-ish, although the texture of the bark is quite cool!
aaahhhh....the red-winged blackbird, one of my personal favorites, captured so perfectly by you. They often perch in a marsh at the freeway exit where I pause on my way home from work, always making me smile. :)

Pivka! We saw a bunch of them today in a small wetland area located a few yards from the front door of a TJ Maxx! They are hardy, malable guys who can take the often nearby human chaos.
ReplyDeleteLove this experiment, you clever bod :) Like the woodpecker very much!
